Defender Tom McIntyre joined The Dons on a short-term contract until the end of the 2025/26 season. He arrived at Pittodrie as a free agent following the mutual termination of his contract with EFL Championship side Portsmouth. A former Scotland Under-21 international, he has made over 130 appearances in the English Championship having started his professional career with Reading before joining Portsmouth in the summer of 2024. He went on to enjoy loan spells at Charlton Athletic and Bradford City.
