Aberdeen signed Belgian forward Mitchy Ntelo from Swiss side Yverdon-Sport FC for an undisclosed fee in August 2026.
The 6ft 2in attacker, who can play either through the middle or on either flank, signed an initial two-year deal, with the Club holding an option for a third year.
Born in Liège, Ntelo came through the academy of hometown club Standard Liège before enjoying a productive loan spell in the Netherlands, scoring 10 goals in 24 starts for MVV Maastricht.
Despite reportedly attracting interest from Eredivisie side FC Utrecht, he opted to return to Belgium and joined Royal Charleroi, where he was briefly a teammate of former Aberdeen striker Oday Dabbagh.
Seeking regular first-team football, Ntelo moved to Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Plovdiv, where he enjoyed an impressive spell, scoring six goals in just 14 starts.
His performances prompted Swiss Super League side Yverdon-Sport to make their move, reportedly paying a club-record fee to secure his signature after just 8 months with Plovdiv.
Following Yverdon's relegation, Ntelo returned to Bulgaria on loan with Botev Vratsa in January 2026, immediately rediscovering his goalscoring touch by netting six goals in six starts to help the club secure their top-flight status.
