Emmanuel Gyamfi arrived at Pittodrie from Bundesliga 2 side FC Schalke 04 after progressing through the academy where he was highly regarded as one of their brightest prospects. Having signed his first professional contract at FC Schalke 04 in 2024 following five years in the academy, he gained valuable senior experience during a loan spell with VVV-Venlo in the Eerste Divisie during the 2024-2025 season.
