Brad Lyons joined the Dons on a two-year deal ahead of the upcoming 2026/27 season.
The 29-year-old Northern Ireland international moved to Pittodrie this summer when his contract with Kilmarnock concluded, adding further experience to the Club’s midfield options.
The versatile midfielder has built a reputation as a consistent and hard-working player, known for his combative style and ability to influence the game both defensively and going forward.
Lyons began his career in the Irish Premiership with Coleraine before moving on loan to English side Blackburn Rovers, with the deal to become permanent in January 2019.
A short time after Brad moved to Scotland on loan with St Mirren, and then the following season spent time at Morecambe.
The Northern Irish midfielder, who moved to Rugby Park from Blackburn in summer 2021, signed a second contract in April 2024 and was appointed Kilmarnock captain last season.
In August 2023, Lyons received his first call-up to the Northern Ireland senior national team by head coach and former Don Michael O'Neill. He made his international debut on 17 October 2023 in a UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying match against Slovenia. Brad has eight caps to date, the last coming in an international friendly against Wales in March.
He arrives at Pittodrie having made close to 180 appearances in the Scottish Premiership.
