Aberdeen have been successful in their appeal against the yellow card issued to Frank Ross during last Sunday's SFA Youth Cup 3 Round tie against Kilmarnock at Pittodrie. While yellow cards cannot normally be appealed against, the exception is when the offence is ‘alleged simulation’.
In the 82nd minute of the game, with the visitors leading 3-2, Ross went down in the area after a challenge a Kilmarnock defender. Referee Graham Beaton had adjudged that Frank had dived and booked him. As the Aberdeen player was already on a yellow card, he was consequently sent off.
Frank now avoids a suspension in next years competition.
