Tony Docherty will assist the Scotland national team for the forthcoming international double-header against Canada and Slovenia.   The Aberdeen assistant manager will join Gordon Strachan and Mark McGhee for the international challenge match at Easter Road on Wednesday, 22 March and the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 qualifier at Hampden Park on Sunday, 26 March.   Alongside manager Derek McInnes, he has helped take the Dons to second place in the SPFL Premiership. “Tony is well-respected within the game and we look forward to working alongside him for the forthcoming matches,” said Gordon Strachan.
