Last Saturday our Supporter Engagement Team (SET) made their debut in a new matchday role when Aberdeen took on Motherwell at Pittodrie.
As part of the club’s wider Supporter Engagement Strategy the SET took on a new role welcoming visitors to the stadium serving as a friendly, primary point of contact for supporters on matchday. The four SET members were able to engage positively with supporters young and old on Saturday providing assistance to the Matchday Stand Reps.
After the SET’s first outing AFC’s Marketing Manager, Scott Gormal said, “It was great to have the Supporter Engagement Team out and about on Saturday. They were able to meet with a number of supporters before the game delivering some surprises and the feedback we have had has been great.
“The intention is that each member of the team will have their own stand for each game so they should soon become familiar faces for supporters in those sections. It’s a pretty broad role but really we just want to try and be proactive to make the experience a bit more memorable for as many supporters as possible each match.”
