The Manager, Calvin Zola, Gregg Wylde on RedTV
Derek McInnes |
“It’s going to be a tough match. We had a tight game against St Johnstone here but they are always a hard team to play against. They’ve finished in the European places the last couple of seasons, they have a really settled squad and they have a real strength in depth. But it’s a match we’re really looking forward to.
“It’s good to get back to League business. There’s not many tougher games in the League than St Johnstone away but it’s a game we feel we can win. We got a good result and performance in the majority last week at Partick and even the performances prior to that there was a lot to be pleased about. Hopefully we bring a level performance that gives us a chance to win the game.
“We’ve asked Calvin Zola not to get frustrated when decisions go against him. You’re not always going to get decisions and I think there has been games this season where he has been harshly treated but there have been a few games recently where he’s had a fair crack of the whip. He can’t let that frustration get the better of him. He’s a boy desperate to do well here and work hard.
“We’ve still got Willo Flood out along with Clark Robertson. Josh took a little training in his groin but is absolutely fine and will train this morning. The game might come to quick for Jonny Hayes.
