New singing, Simon Church joined up with his new teammates this morning and afterwards had this to say on his move north:
“I’m happy to be here and really looking forward to the coming months. “It’s been a frustrating time for me personally and the team at MK Dons. I don’t think we are doing as well as we could be, for me and for my chances in the summer. This opportunity came up and I thought it was perfect for me to go out and play some games and hopefully get some goals as well. “I could have stayed at MK Dons and played a little bit but I’m more ambitious than that and I want to do it for my career. The team are doing really well and I spoke to the manager and it sounded like a great move. “He just said to me [Derek McInnes] go and play your game, like he knows I can. Just come here, enjoy the football and enjoy the challenge in a different league than I have played in before. “It’s really windy up here! It’s a good setup, good stadium and I spoke to a few people coming in- it’s a passionate place, a very supportive place. “It’s a massive game- these are the ones you want to be play in. I was involved in the match against Chelsea at the weekend and to come here and to hopefully play against Celtic would be great- it’s where I want to be as a player. “I’m here to hopefully help the team score goals and play well and that’s my main objective. Luckily for me the first game is a massive one against Celtic.”
