The captain told RedTV “We have not really been able to think about Sunday until now because we have had some many big league games recently. The game is now upon us and we are always preparing properly. It is important we have a good week leading up to the game so we are all ready to go Sunday lunch time.

“I know we will have another very big support that will get behind the players. When you look at the League Cup semi-final at Tynecastle the fans were incredible that day and they really did help us get over the line. I am very hopeful the supporters will be like they were on that occasion and be like they have been all season, home or away. Hopefully they will get right behind the team and give us the push needed to help us win the game.

“What has happened previously in the games against St Johnstone this season and in particular in the other cup semi-final will have bearing on this one. It is going to be another very difficult match for us. There is no doubting that. But it is one we are certainly looking forward to.

“If the players put in the same hard work and commitment as they have done all season, and we get the same backing from the fans, then we have a chance of getting the result we all want.”
