Early Considine goal sends Dons through to next round

William Hill Scottish Cup 4th Round | Firhill | Att: 3,642 | 12.45 kick off | FT
An early goal from defender Andrew Considine was enough to send the Dons into the draw for the 5th round of the Scottish Cup. That goal came on the 4th minute when Barry Robson sent in a superb corner and Considine powered a header beyond Scott Fox into the back of the net. The Dons then dominated the first half, creating numerous chances but they couldn’t add to their early opener.
The second half was a much closer affair but despite Thistle having more possession than in the first period they failed to trouble the Dons on too many occasions and it was Aberdeen who moved into the last 16 of the competition.
The draw for the 5th round will take place at 2pm on Monday.
