Brilliant young Scots beat Germany UEFA European Under-17 Championship Finals Germany 0-1 Scotland Aberdeen’s Scott Wright scored the winner for Scotland against Germany this afternoon at the UEFA European Under-17 Championship Finals in Malta. The match, which was being played at the Hibernians Stadium, a possible Europa League 1 st Round qualifying venue for the Dons, produced only one goal and Scott’s header in the early stages of the second half was enough to secure a fantastic victory.

Aberdeen’s Scott Wright scored the winner for Scotland against Germany this afternoon at the UEFA European Under-17 Championship Finals in Malta.

The match, which was being played at the Hibernians Stadium, a possible Europa League 1st Round qualifying venue for the Dons, produced only one goal and Scott’s header in the early stages of the second half was enough to secure a fantastic victory.

The Scots, who lost their opening game 2-0 to Portugal, put in a superb performance against the much fancied Germans. Although Scott Gemmill’s side road their luck at times, goalkeeper McCrorie had some great saves and Scotland could have added to their lead, Wright in fact went close with another header.

Scotland now face Switzerland in their final group game. If they win that match there is a chance they will then play England in the semi finals.
