“The big games are now coming think and fast. A cup tie against Celtic at Parkhead is a tasty fixture and one we are looking forward to. We said when the draw was made it was a very tough tie and it will be a major challenge to get through but we will go down there with a lot of confidence from last week.
“We should take confidence not only from the fact we have qualified for a cup final but from the fact we have consistently shown a level of performance in the league this season.
“Celtic have themselves shown a real consistency in the League this season. They have more points in the League at this point in the season than they did last year. They have a big lead and they deserve huge credit for that.
“In a one off game though you can at times run them close.
“You have to go into the game believing that you can get a result. Over a 90 minute game there is a gap that can be breached that can’t be breached at the moment over a full League campaign.
“So we will go down there knowing Celtic are the firm favourites to go into the next round but if we can play to our full ability and play to our top levels we will give ourselves a chance.
“They are firm favourites for a reason. They have a great squad but we feel on our day we can beat anyone domestically.
“We will not go down there with the attitude we have nothing to lose. We put pressure on ourselves to perform every week.
“It will need a big big performance from everyone in the team to get some sort of result.
“Any good results we have had this season have come from being extremely hard working, extremely well organised, extremely disciplined and we are going to have to be all those on Saturday.
“Two goals in two games is testament to how quickly Adam Rooney has settled in at Pittodrie. Very quickly he has bought into how hard we work as a team and he has quickly become a very good team mate. First and foremost he gives you a real energy, he puts defenders under pressure and he is consistently working them. He is very good in the penalty box as well.
“Team news is that Clark Robertson is still out but he is progressing and is running at the moment. Ryan Jack will be a little while yet but everyone else is fit and raring to go.”
