Ross McCrorie | Post Match Reaction

Captain for the day Ross McCrorie was the player who spoke to the media and RedTV after the game on Saturday. “It wasn’t good. “The result and performance isn’t good enough for the standard of Aberdeen, not until the last 20 minutes and it shouldn’t take us that long to get going in a game. “When you come to a place like Livingston, it is going to be a battle but we never matched them. It wasn’t until about 50/60 minutes that we actually get going and play a good bit of football attacking wise. We need to put in a 90 minute performance and we need to rectify it.

“The bottom six is not where we want to be. Come the end of the season we want to be up near the top end, there are still games to be played. We will take each game as it comes. We have got a big game coming up on Wednesday, we need to pick ourselves up now and go again.

“The fans have got every right to be frustrated with the performance and the result. It has not been the standard that we expect at Aberdeen. At a club like this we should be challenging at the top end of the table. We have got Celtic on Wednesday and another big game on Saturday, we cannot be feeling sorry for ourselves. We need to stand up as a team.

“The away record is not good enough. Our performances haven’t been good enough away from home. The consistency needs to be there. We need to be putting in a top performance week in, week out. We need to pick ourselves up and go again on Wednesday night.

“At times we are too nice. As a team we need to start being more together. We are in the trenches, we need to battle more. A few words were spoken at the end of the game. We will stick together and we will get ourselves out of it.

“There is frustration there, we have experienced players. We have got a lot of top players. It is time that we started to get the results, pick up some points to get us up the table.”
