Striker joins the Dons
The 25 year old Irishman, who began his career with Stoke City, goes straight into the squad for the weekend SPFL Premiership trip to Motherwell, and manager Derek McInnes is looking for his new recruit to become a firm favourite with the Red Army. “Adam is a proven goal-scorer and he has the quality to add something to our team. There were other clubs keen to take him and it’s great that he wants to be part of what we’re doing here at Aberdeen. I’ve said all along that I’ll only bring in players who I believe will add something to the squad and Adam certainly ticks that box.”
The Dublin born player joined Inverness Caley Thistle on a three year deal in the summer of 2008 and scored 44 goals in his spell before joining Birmingham City at the start of the 2011-12 campaign. A season long loan at Swindon Town followed a year later before he joined Oldham last summer. Adam has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under 18 & 19 levels and was capped nine times for the ROI Under 21 side.
