Derek McInnes:
“We’re well aware of the importance of the game this weekend.
“We’ve got to make sure the staff and players are fully focused on Dumbarton on Saturday and that’s exactly what will be the case. Quarter Final of the Scottish Cup, a home tie, yes it’s a tough game for us but that opportunity doesn’t come round very often either so we’ve got to make sure we concentrate on the job at hand because Dumbarton are a good side.
“They’ve really kicked on this season. I’ve seen them a few times this season and I’ve always been impressed by them. They’ve got great energy, a good work rate and a blend of youth and experience so they are certainly doing a good job there.
“I still think there is more to come from Peter (Pawlett). I feel if he keeps working at his game, keeps his focus, works hard, he can only get better. He’s got a lot of attributes that can separate any game. He’s someone we’re enjoying working with but keen to keep getting that improvement from him.
“There is no reason for running on empty. We’ve had a good couple of days rest with the players, a couple of good days of training. The players have loads to look forward to and there is plenty still left in the tank. We’ve got so much to look forward to and the players will be bang up for it on Saturday.

Andrew Considine:
“I think Saturday is going to be a very tough game. Form goes out the window. It is a one off game, although I appreciate it can go to a replay, and they will come up here feeling they have nothing to lose and fancy their chances.
“I know for a fact it is going to be a tough game. They have some really good players going forward.
“Mitch (Megginson) has gone down there and done very well. He is playing regularly and is scoring goals. He has the talent to play in this league so he is one to watch. I played with Bryan Prunty during my very first year here. They also have Colin Nish who has played at the top level and I know one or two other players they have, all good players.
“We have to make sure we prepare ourselves properly, get the right mind set and if we do that hopefully we can get the result we want.
“The manager keeps telling us to take each game as it comes and we all know the importance of this game.

Peter Pawlett:
Peter today received an award for winning the Scottish Cup Goal of the Round.
“We just concentrate on the next game. It will be a difficult game but we’ll treat it like any other kind of game and hopefully we’ll get through.
“In the past things have been difficult against lower league opposition and I think that we all know ourselves that we can’t take anything for granted. There are boys that are at Dumbarton now that have previously been at Aberdeen including Mitch Megginson so they’ll be fired up for the match.
“It’s a great opportunity for their club. The financial part of it is huge. They’ve got a great incentive but for us it’s the chance to get into the Semi Final of the Scottish Cup- it’s massive! We don’t just want to win one cup we want to one two!”
