the manager, Jamie and Shay on RedTV
“We always knew after the Cup Final that three games in a week was going to be a challenge for us and we’ve managed to overcome the first hurdle with a convincing win over Kilmarnock. I was delighted with our performance, delighted with the energy levels of the players as well so we’re very much looking forward to the game at Ross County, which is always a difficult fixture, for any team going up there, and again at this stage in the season the points are equally important for their cause as for our cause so it will be a competitive match and one we’ll need to play well in.
“We have no fresh injury worries. Peter still won’t make it although he is improving and hopefully he will have an opportunity to be back in the squad for Saturday.
“Both Nicky and Cammy, when they’ve played their part this season, have always acquitted themselves well. Like everyone else in the squad they are desperate to play their part and I think that showed in their performances at the weekend but I wasn’t surprised by that.
“We lost a game up there either in the season that we didn’t do enough in to win. Our levels of performance weren’t what we had shown previously and shown since so it just shows when we are not at that level then we are vulnerable so we’ve got to make sure that we do all we can to bring a performance we are capable of, like we did in the home game. They are always tough opponents, but they’ve got that bit of quality in their side that can cause teams problems.
“We will finish in the league where we deserve to finish.
“We feel that regardless of what teams are around us do between now and the end of the season we know that if we can continue in a similar vein that we’ve shown this season we’ll be there or there abouts. It’s important we try and go all the way and maintain that level consistency and level of results which has been so pleasing for us. I think over the course of a League campaign it would be great credit to the players if we were to end up in the top three.”
