Rocco Quinn’s 52nd minute goal was enough to give Ross County the three points after a lacklustre performance from Aberdeen in Dingwall. Despite a large travelling support, the visitors failed to trouble Mark Brown on too many occasions.

The game was disrupted for nearly seven minutes towards the end of the first half when referee Crawford Allan picked up an injury and was eventually replaced by fourth official David Somers. Just before the break, McGinn tested the County goalkeeper with an effort from just outside the box. But it was the home side who took the lead on 52 minutes when Quinn netted a powerful shot from a tight angle. The Dons had 14 corners in the match but failed to make anything of them as the Highlanders claimed the three points.

Team News |  Derek McInnes made one change to the side that drew 1-1 with St Mirren on Monday evening. Niall McGinn made his first start since recovering from injury in place of Calvin Zola.

Aberdeen starting XI | Langfield, Shaughnessy, Hector, Considine (Robertson 55′), Reynolds, Pawlett, Smith (Flood 55′), Jack, Hayes, Vernon (Magennis 73′), McGinn.
