“It is hugely disappointing.

“I thought sitting watching the game that the first half was quite even. Joe pulled off a few good saves to keep us in the game but we also had some good chances and the teams could easily have gone in at half time 3-3. We know with the attacking players they have, especially Boyce, if he gets chances he is more than likely going to take them and he did that in the first half.

“I thought we reacted well in the second half and deservedly got an equaliser.

“I am always pleased to get on the scoresheet.

“I thought then we were going to push on and win the game especially when they went down to ten men and we had a lot of pressure. We went looking for the three points but landed up with nothing.

“It was extremely disappointing the way we lost the game.

“We have to dust ourselves down. We now have three very important games coming up. We have to concentrate on ourselves. We have to try and get nine points to finish off the first half of the season strongly and then go into the winter break with some momentum behind us.

“We have to get back to winning ways. To do that we have to get back to basics. The best way to win a match is by keeping cleansheets. We also have to take our chances when they come along. “Of course I want to be playing from the start but any player would say that.

“As a professional if you are not playing you have to keep working hard behind the scenes.

“You have to show your ability and take your chance when you get it. I was pleased to make an impact when I came on but that does not even begin to make up for the massive disappointment of losing that game of football.”
