In Red Matchday Issue 03 on Sunday: In depth interview with Scott McKenna : “Every game you play in, you are learning something different. You then have to take it into the next game. If you make a mistake, you learn from it. That is maybe one area where I’ve improved. Last season if I made a mistake, I would beat myself up about. In depth interview with Scott McKenna:

“Every game you play in, you are learning something different. You then have to take it into the next game. If you make a mistake, you learn from it. That is maybe one area where I’ve improved. Last season if I made a mistake, I would beat myself up about. Now I take the approach that I need to learn from it and move on, and make sure it does not happen again. Obviously you’re disappointed and you analyse it, but you try and turn a negative into a positive by making sure it does not happen again.

“I will still watch all my games back afterwards, whether they were good or bad. You can learn from both. Even if you have played well, you don’t sit watching the action, admiring yourself. You look at what you maybe could have done better. For example, should I maybe be in a different position, a better position to help someone else out? So I watch every game back and try and take little bits from them.

“I remember Barry Robson saying in one of his final seasons here that he was still learning and he’d played a lot of football at the highest levels by then. And the game is changing all the time, you are playing different formations, coming up against different formations, so I have to try and learn how to deal with that the best way possible, so you are not as spooked the next time you come across something different.”

Plus columns from Derek McInnes, Graeme Shinnie, Stuart Duff, Rachel Corsie, Ally Begg and Chris Crighton. And a new look extensive history section in the 84 pages.
