“We came here to do a job, to get to the next round of the cup and we have done that.
“I am delighted with the performance of the boys. Delighted as well to get to the win.
“I have never been to Hampden, so I am delighted to get there.
“The first 15/20 minutes I thought that we played some really good football considering the weather and the pitch. I thought that we played well in spells. There were also spells where the ball was in the air and there was a lot of 50/50’s.
“It doesn’t matter how you play; we are into the next round of the cup and that is the main thing.
“The fans came in their numbers and supported the boys to the final whistle. Fair play to them it is a long way to come on a Saturday night.
“The manager was the main reason I came as well as the size of the club and the history. It was a no brainer.
“I want to go to cup finals, I want to win trophies. That is a reason why I joined the club.
“I missed a few games over the winter break. The way that I play I need to play every game to get my sharpness. As a winger you need sharpness, it is totally different to just being fit.
“Kilmarnock was the first game where I felt good. I thought I played well against them. Tonight I felt sharp again. There is more and more that I can give to the team.
“I am feeling good. The manager has given me confidence. The boys have been brilliant, it is all positive.
“I think Funso is a really good player. Ferguson and Campbell have got a great opportunity with their age. A lot of boys don’t get to cup finals in their whole career. We need them to do a job for the team and they have been doing that. All three of them have been brilliant in there.
“We played against Celtic in the last game. On another day we could have nicked that game. That is why they are champions. But we have got to take confidence from that game and believe we can match anyone.
“We are good enough and on our day, we can beat anyone in the league.
“I am getting more and more game time. I get on well with all of the boys. It is a great team, a great changing room. On the field I am starting to get to know the boys runs.
“It is all going in the right direction.”
“It is all going in the right direction.”
