The Manager
“For me it’s about when you pull on that red jersey and you’re playing for Aberdeen, each player has a responsibility to deliver their 100% best.
“I think that’s the least that players should be doing at this point in time. And I think sometimes when you’re where we are, the little tactical details are not as important as actually rolling your sleeves up and going and playing for the club and for your team. I think we need a lot more of that.” Scott Booth speaking after last week’s loss at home to Motherwell.
The Opposition
It’ll take a miracle for Hamilton to beat the drop with just five games to go, they sit bottom of the table with two points to their name. They have picked up draws against Montrose and Aberdeen, losing their other 17 games.
Like The Dons, they also started their post-split campaign with a defeat, losing 6-0 to Montrose at Links Park last weekend.
Katie Cox
“Individually we can reflect, as a team we can reflect, and think how we can be right for the next game. There’s no point dwelling on it, it never helps anybody. It’s about a “what’s next” mentality and focusing on the next game ahead.
“Sunday is a great chance to build momentum and put that right foot forward, to see if we can start building wins over the next couple of games. At the end of the day, we play football to win games and hopefully that’s what we can do, starting on Sunday.”
Tale of the tape so far this season
Sunday will be meeting number three between the two sides this campaign.
Back in October we met at the Balmoral, with The Dons running out as resounding 5-0 winners, goals coming from Kerry Beattie, Eva Thomson, Mya Christie, and an Aimee Black brace.
The reverse fixture took place last month in North Lanarkshire, with Darcie Miller netting both Aberdeen goals in a 2-2 draw.
Follow the action
The Aberdeen Women X and Instagram channels will be the best place to follow Sunday’s game on the socials, where we will have all the match updates and pre-match action in the build up to kick-off.
We will have the match highlights on RedTV at the start of the week.
