From the press room
"We want to finish the season as strong as possible. We want two really good results, to be able to go into the break with the best possible feeling, that is always our aim."
Mats Knoester speaking at Monday’s Cormack Park press conference.
Opposition Watch
11th placed St Mirren have it all to do if they are going to avoid finishing in the relegation play-off place going into the final two matchdays of the season.
They have had a torrid time of it since their victory over The Dons in early April, losing their next five in all competitions, their last league goal coming in that victory.
Defeat at home to Kilmarnock last time out leaves them four points back from Neil McCann’s side.
Tale of the tape
We’ve got one win, one draw, and one loss to show for our efforts against the Paisley side so far this season.
Marko Lazetic’s 96th minute stunner in Paisley secured the points in October, before a 3-3 Pittodrie draw followed in December.
Most recently, we lost 2-0 at The SmiSA.

The Manager
"They’re fighting for their lives and that’s our challenge tomorrow night, is the mentality because ultimately people may think we have nothing to play for now.
“In my mind, it’s completely different. Every time you put on an Aberdeen shirt, you want to win the game. We have to match the mentality. We didn’t do that at St Mirren in the first half especially and we must show that we’ve come on good strides and match that mentality.”
From the vault
Gary Mackay-Steven is pictured after scoring from the penalty spot to a grab a brace in a 4-0 win over St Mirren in the League Cup in August 2018. Aberdeen: Lewis, Shinnie, Considine, Gleeson, Ross (Forrester 61), Mackay-Steven, Wright (Anderson 71), May (McLennan 79), Devlin, Ferguson, Ball. Unused Subs: Campbell, Cosgrove, Roscoe, Černý.
