Tale of the tape
The Dons are yet to defeat United this season, with the spoils being shared (0-0, 1-1, Karlsson) on the last two occasions. Back in September we fell to a 2-0 defeat at Tannadice. Our last win over The Tangerines at Pittodrie came in October 2024, when Peter Ambrose netted in the 84th minute to secure a 1-0 win.
From the dressing room
“It is great to hit double figures of appearances. Hopefully I can play as many games as possible for the Club. I thought we started well, could have taken our chances at times, but overall, we could have done better. Everyone needs to stay ready, and when they get their opportunity, they need to take it.” Mitchel Frame.
Opposition Watch
United sit top of the bottom six going into the weekend’s fixtures, six points ahead of the eight placed Dons. They come into things off the back of a bruising 3-0 defeat at the hands of Kilmarnock last weekend. Prior to that, wins over Livingston (3-2) and Dundee (3-0), had already put the City of Discovery side in a commanding position to finish seventh. Forwards Amar Fatah and Zach Sapsford have largely shared the goalscoring responsibilities throughout the campaign, they both sit on eight league goals apiece, with Fatah netting in the Pittodrie draw in December.
On Tuesday they announced the signing of defender Joshua Rawlin on a pre-contract agreement from Melbourne Victory, with Jesse Randall and Lachlan Rose already on their way from Down Under in the Summer.
Stephen Robinson
“First and foremost, I want to win every game towards the end of the season. Everyone's playing for their future. Everyone's playing to be part of this next season. There's no guarantees for anybody. “We want to finish strongly. We want to reward the fans for their loyalty. I want people to step up and show me they want to be here and they're good enough to be here. A lot of people have done that. I hope there will be opportunities for others to do the same, but I won't sacrifice the chance of winning football matches for that.”
