Northern Ireland internationalist Kerry Beattie has joined Aberdeen FC Women on loan from Heart of Midlothian until the end of the season.
The striker, who has scored four times in eleven games for her country at senior level, was previously at Glentoran prior to the move to Hearts in the summer of 2024, where she netted 29 times during her final campaign at the Glens.
A move to Scotland and Hearts followed, and Beattie signed a two-year deal at Oriam in the summer. Beattie grabbed a brace on her debut in Maroon against Queen’s Park on the first day of the SWPL1 season.
Just 22, Beattie also spent time at Glasgow City where she netted five times in three games. The deal to take Beattie to Petershill Park was the first time a Northern Irish club had received a fee for a female player.
Beattie is available for Sunday’s Semi-final against Hibernian, subject to clearance.
Speaking on her loan move, Beattie said:
“I’m delighted to make the move to Aberdeen. I’m really happy to be here and I’m glad to have this opportunity.
“It is important for me that I can get the game time I need, I want to kick on with the national team as well. I felt that was the right thing to do to get more minutes and try and establish myself in the league.
“I can’t wait to get started and hopefully I can hit the ground running.”
