“It was massive of course, every game is going to be between now and the end of the season. We started the game really well and we could have been more than one up but the start of the second half wasn’t good enough.
“The character we showed to come back and get the three points, which was the main thing today, was brilliant. You can’t play well every week and in the second half we weren’t really at it but the way we kept going to get the three points was very pleasing.
“Everybody knows how much you can miss a striker like Adam so we need everybody to chip in. Churchy has been doing great but your right back hitting the box so late in the game shows the desire and how much we want to win.
“We knew the Celtic result before the game but it didn’t affect the way we approached the game. We were set up and our full focus was on how we were going to beat Kilmarnock. The result today was crucial, it was a bit of a grind at times but at this stage of the season we know how massive three points are.
“Everybody is going to have to play their part between now and the end of the season. There are boys who can come in, Barry Robson has played the last two games and has been outstanding. It has been an example to players who maybe haven’t been getting as much time.
“We’ve dropped some silly points, especially at home and we have learned from that. The way we saw the game out was very pleasing for the manager.
“You always want to do as well as you can, this season we have beat Celtic twice which shows we can match any team. It’s great for us to be in this position but we need to just keep working hard and getting better. Everybody has got something to play for including ourselves so there will be no easy games between now and the end of the season.
“Bottle is not in question. With the squad that we have and the character we have shown, especially in the last couple of games where we came back to win both. It’s not bottle. We have dropped some silly points, we know that, but it has nothing to do with anything like that.”
