“The three points was the main thing. “Conceding the three goals obviously is not what we wanted but we got there in the end and we have to be pleased with scoring four goals away from home. That is a positive to take from the game and very encouraging. “We know how hard St Johnstone are to play against. They are well organised and coming here they always make it very difficult for you. “Two very difficult games back to back on heavy pitches was tough but we got the two wins. We are delighted with the six points.

“Two very difficult games back to back on heavy pitches was tough but we got the two wins. We are delighted with the six points. We now don’t play until next Monday so we have plenty of time to rest and recover and that is what we will do. We will then get ourselves ready for Inverness next Monday.

“The number of fans we brought down showed how much the game meant to them and to the players. Everyone is coming together and everything is going well. We are now 12 games unbeaten and hopefully we can keep the run going as we have momentum behind us.

“We know, when you look around the changing room, the quality we have got in there. We also know the character of the players in there and the team have shown that in recent weeks. There will always be doubters but we blank that out because we all know what we have round about us in the changing room and on the field. You look at the person on your left and you look at the person on your right and you know what you are going to get from them. You know how good the players are in the team and how good a squad we have.

“We used the squad to the full in Perth as the manager made a few changes. It was nice to see Scott McKenna coming on at the end and I thought he did well. We are going to need everyone from now until the end of the season. It is going to take a big push from everyone in the squad as we try and win as many games as we can.”
