Martin O'Neill has named a provisional squad for the Republic of Ireland's International Friendly games against Switzerland (March 25) and Slovakia (March 29) in the Aviva Stadium.
And the squad includes Aberdeen’s Jonny Hayes who gets a call up for the first time. Jonny has represented Ireland at underage level.
On hearing the news this afternoon Derek McInnes told www.afc.co.uk “I’m delighted for Jonny. It’s not easy to get into the Irish squad at the moment when they have so much to play for so this is real recognition for his level of performance for the club.”
