As the first international break of the campaign comes to a close, we look back at how our Dons got on over the past week.
Jack Milne – Scotland U21s
Jack was named in the Scotland U21 squad for just the second time as Scot Gemmill’s side took on Spain and Malta in two UEFA Euro 2025 qualifiers. He replaced former Don Calvin Ramsay just before the hour mark on Friday night as Scotland narrowly lost out 2-1 to group leaders Spain at Tynecastle Park and was an unused substitute in their 5-0 victory away to Malta on Tuesday night. Scotland sit second in Group B and face a double header against Belgium and Kazakhstan next month.
Alfie Bavidge & Fletcher Boyd – Scotland U19s
Alfie and Fletcher were involved in Neil MacFarlane’s first squad for the Scotland U19’s as they played three friendly matches against Azerbaijan, Faroe Islands and The Netherlands in Spain. The young Scots were undefeated across all three games with Alfie starting and netting against the Faroe Islands. The on-loan Ayr United striker also came off the bench against The Netherlands while Fletcher also made appearances from the substitutes bench against the Faroe Islands and The Netherlands.
Topi Keskinen – Finland
It was a successful international window for Topi as he made his debut for Finland in their UEFA Nations League defeat to Greece. Topi put in an impressive showing against England as he started the match at Wembley as Finland lost out by two goals to nil.
Dimitar Mitov – Bulgaria
Dimi started both of Bulgaria’s matches against Belarus (0-0) and Northern Ireland (1-0), keeping clean sheets in both of the UEFA Nations League games. Bulgaria are now unbeaten in eight matches and face Luxembourg and Northern Ireland next month.
Slobodan Rubezic – Montenegro
Rubi played 90 minutes in both of Montenegro’s UEFA Nations League matches against Iceland and Wales. Montenegro lost out in both of games, losing 2-0 to Iceland before a narrow 2-1 defeat at home to Wales. The defender now has seven caps for his national side who face Turkey and Wales next month.
