On Saturday Aberdeen travel to Firhill to play Partick Thistle. A win would see the Dons make it five wins in a row and equal their best ever start to a season.

Last Saturday saw Aberdeen beat Dundee and equalled their second best start to the season. Back in the 1991-92 season they also won their opening four matches: 2-1 A to Airdrie 1-0 A to Falkirk 3-0 H to Dunfermline 1-0 H to Celtic

Aberdeen then drew 0-0 away to Dundee United and lost 2-1 at home to St. Johnstone.

Before then the Dons won their first four games of the 1954-55 Championship season and then repeated the feat following season 1955-56.

However the Dons best start to the season was when they won the opening five league matches in season 1984-85.

Aberdeen then drew 0-0 at Pittodrie with Rangers.
