“It was enjoyable out there today.
“I felt as a team, to a man, everyone played their part. We got the three points so we are happy.
“It is a nice venue. The pitch was in great condition.
“Hibs have been going great this season. They have had some good results and have been playing well. Easter Road is never an easy place to come, so we knew it would need a big performance from us to get the three points. We came here and showed that we were worthy of winning them.
“It was a great ball from Kenny. He always notices my runs. He has fed it to me and I was pleased to finish it off. It is a nice feeling to be up and running with my goal account but it is all about the team today.
“Kenny McLean is a very gifted footballer. We know when he has got his head up he will put the ball on a plate for you. No matter where you run to. It is a pleasure to play with players of his ability. We have a lot of very good creative players. Going forward it is exciting times for Aberdeen.
“I never lost myself belief and today I showed what I can do. Since I arrived at the club I have been happy. There is a great bunch of lads in the dressing room. I wanted to prove to the manager what I could do and repay his faith in signing me. Today is hopefully the first of many goals to come in the league.
“The manager has been absolutely great with me since day one. One of the reasons I came to Aberdeen was that I wanted to play for him. I feel good now. I want to repay him with performances.
“The manager, Tony Docherty, Barry Robson and all the coaching staff and all the boys have shown a lot of support to me recently. What happened is in the past now and I want to be making the headlines on the back pages.
“I have had a few injuries but the international break came at a good time for me. I was able to rest up and came back refreshed. This was a big game for us as team. We wanted to come down here and get a win. We did not just want to look for a draw. We wanted to come down and show we were good enough to get the three points and as I say I felt we did that today.
“We wanted to be solid as a team but also create chances.
“I feel we have a lot of good players defensively. The triangle of Arnason, McKenna and O’Connor were solid. Mark Reynolds also came on today. He will do a job whenever he plays. I think the last three games we have had three clean sheets so we are stopping goals which is a great positive. It gives the further forward players like myself a great platform to go and create something.
“We have got a bit of strength in-depth as well.
“We have been working hard on the training ground and the new players are finding their feet. It is a very good dressing room to come into. Everyone gets one with each other. We work hard for each other. We are doing ok at the moment but I feel there is more to come from us.
“Celtic next up will be very tough but it is a game we are looking forward to. For me personally it is a game I have been looking forward to since looking at the fixtures. It will be a big test for us but we will prepare properly and hopefully play our own game.
“I don’t think I have anything to prove to them. If selected I will just go out and play my own game, play with a freedom. I will go into the game with confidence after today.
“Celtic have the squad to deal with the busy schedule that they have got at the moment. They have shown that over the past few years. So I don’t think there is ever a good time to play them. They bring great quality to every game they play and have certainly done so in recent years. It will be a tough game as I say but we will go into with confidence after recent results.
“We will look to play our own game as we are at home.
“It is not just me, it is a game the whole squad are looking forward to. It is the big games where you want to test yourself.
“We are at the top of the table and we want to stay there as long as we can. We will all enjoy our weekend.”
