Club to hand out complimentary tickets to local children
The team get back to league business on Saturday as Kilmarnock visit Pittodrie and we’re expecting another large turn out from the Red Army as you welcome home your winners!
As a gesture of thanks to our local community and loyal supporters, the Club will be distributing 1,400 complimentary tickets to children who attend our Apache AFC Football Centres. The youngsters will also be given the chance to make their Pittodrie debut with 32 of these participants selected to take part in half-time activity on the pitch.
Our Junior Matchday Club will also be extra special for this match with 40 children from local charity CLAN invited to enjoy a VIP day out at Pittodrie with a coaching session at the Aberdeen Sports Village before enjoying the match from their seats in the Merkland Stand.
Steven Sweeny, AFC Senior Community Coach, added. “Ahead of Saturday when we welcome home our League Cup Final heroes, we have given all the children who attend our Apache Community Football Centres 2 tickets for the Kilmarnock game as a thank you for their continued support. We are delighted to share the Club’s fantastic achievement with our loyal young supporters and are looking forward to seeing the Merkland Stand packed this coming weekend.”
