Dons Supporters Raise Over £16,000 Through Can Collections

Over the course of the season Dons supporters have helped to raise the fantastic total of over £16,000 for local charities and groups though can collections held before matches at Pittodrie.

Debra Christie, Fundraising and Business Development Co-ordinator for the Trust said “We would like to take this opportunity to thank supporters who have visited Pittodrie this season for the generosity that they have consistently shown when it comes to can collections. It may seem like a small gesture for each individual to make but the total raised is amazing and will make a real difference to every group who attended throughout the season.”

Some of the groups who have benefitted from can collections this season are AFC Heritage Trust, Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust, Grampian Senior Citizens Forum, Bare all For Brain Tumours, Motor Neurone Disease, St Machar Academy, Dreams Come True, Alzheimer Scotland, AFC Disabled Supporters, Glentanar Community FC, Fisherman’s Mission, Grampian Child Bereavement Network, Befriend a Child, JDRF, Ballater Flood Appeal, Sunrise Partnership and Bridge of Don Sea Cadets.
