Aberdeen Football Club has announced that it has agreed to a request for Jamie Langfield to receive a testimonial to mark his decade with the Club.
Having joined from Dunfermline Athletic FC in the summer of 2005, Jamie has made over 300 appearances for the Club. The Paisley born goalkeeper has also played for Scotland B and been included in the full national squad on a number of occasions.
As part of Jamie’s testimonial year, the Dons will play a match against Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. at Pittodrie on Sunday 26 July at 3.00pm.
Jamie said. “My family and I are delighted that I have received this tremendous honour. I have been very fortunate to spend the best years of my career with such a fantastic club and I believe 2015/16 will be another excellent season for the team”
Chairman of The Jamie Langfield Testimonial Committee Ian McIntosh added. “I am delighted that the Club has agreed to our request to honour Jamie’s decade of service to the Club. The game against Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. will be the first of three planned events to include a dinner and golf day. Jamie has been a player who has always given his all to the Club and this testimonial is a fitting reward.
