Our fundraising through football scheme, Dons Day Out, sponsored by CNR International (UK) Ltd is a way of giving back to the community where schools, youth clubs or amateur sports teams can enjoy a day at Pittodrie and raise funds by receiving cash-back on tickets.
Dons Day Out has been enjoyed by over 1000 supporters so far this season, raising an overall total of £6465.50 for their groups. Turriff Utd Youth FC raised a total of £1569.50 at the game against Hibernian on Saturday 5th October from their huge turnout to support The Dons at Pittodrie.
Murray Laing, Vice Chairperson and coach of the 2008 group from Turriff United Youth FC, says: “We all had an amazing day and the kids absolutely loved it! At our monthly committee meeting everyone said how fantastic it was and how we should look to hold another.
“We really would recommend it to anyone and are already looking forward to our next Dons Day Out.
“We have used some of the near £1600 we raised from the day towards purchasing training kits and Samba goals for our younger age groups.
“This £1600 from AFC is one of the largest fundraising sums we have ever raised. We cannot thank AFC enough!”
