In an exclusive interview new signing Donervorn Daniels talked to RedTV.

“Early last week I heard that Aberdeen were interested in me. My agent spoke to the manager and Russ Richardson the AFC scout. When I heard that they were interested in me I was over the moon. It was great to have interest from such a great club. A very good feeling knowing they wanted to take me on loan.

“This club has a fantastic history, I know that. I know how big a club this is and how much the city is behind the team. I like that. I like to connected to the fans and speak to the people who support us.

“I have known a few players who have played here. Jeffrey Monakana is one of my close friends. When I heard the link with me and Aberdeen might come to something I phoned Jeff and he praised this club to the hills. So he had a big part to play in me coming here.

“I also played with Ash Taylor when I went on loan to Tranmere. He was actually my central defensive partner so I know him quite well.

“I had other loan options in the Championship but I wanted to come here. I played at Blackpool during the first half of the season, it was a great experience for me, I played 19 times and really enjoyed my time there. But now this is an opportunity for me to progress in a different direction.

“I feel this is the right move for me and will help my career when I go back to West Bromwich Albion. This experience is going to keep me in good stead. The experience will also be good for me as an individual.

“As a player I like to think I am good on the ball, good in the air. I am vocal, I speak and take command. I am still learning though. I am here to learn and improve. I want to keep improving.

“I just want to come here and do my best and give my all for the cause. We have a semi-final coming up and we also want to keep pushing hard in the league.

“I am looking forward to Saturday so much. I like the pressure and I like the big occasions. I believe I can rise to them.

“I had a good training session today with the boys. It was good to meet them and find out more about them. Saturday is going to be a big day for the team, the club, the city, the supporters and myself.

“I am really looking forward to the occasion.”
