from the Pittodrie Bar
Aberdeen Football Club would like to say a very big thank you to the Pittodrie Bar who recently make a very generous donation to AFC’s Youth Development funds.
The Dons most famous bar on King Street hosted a 30th anniversary night to remember Gothenburg on Saturday 11th May. In addition to showing a rerun of the game, there was a raffle and a bucket for donations. The Pittodrie Bar customers dug deep into their pockets, raising £1000 AND we defeated Real Madrid again! By the sounds of it a good night was had by all!
The cash raised is being donated to Youth Development and the Befriend a Child Charity and Ron Hutchison and Pauline Duncanson, Proprietor of the Pittodrie Bar, presented the money to AFC Vice Chairman George Yule in the Pittodrie Board Room.
AFC Youth Development Neil Simpson said “I would like to thank everyone at the Pittodrie Bar for their efforts in raising the money. It really is fantastic and, by all accounts, it was an occasion not to be missed! As everyone is aware, youth development is currently more important than ever to AFC and the money raised will go directly towards the building of a successful Aberdeen Football Club in the future.”
Well done to everyone involved, especially Pauline and all her very hard working bar staff.
