Development Loans Update

With the 2026/27 season approaching, several of our development squad players are heading out on loan as part of their continued development pathways, providing them with valuable first-team experience and regular competitive football.

Jack Searle, Lewis Carrol, and Zak To will spend 2026-27 with Peterhead.

The trio head for the Blue Toon, managed by former Dons Jordon Brown and Ryan Strachan and where Niall McGinn is also now a coach. Searle and To both represented Keith last season, while Carrol spent time at Kelty Hearts and Cove Rangers.

Aaron Cummings and Bradley Chikomo will link up with Elgin City. The pair make the step up to SPFL League 2 after enjoying spells in the Highland League last season at Buckie Thistle and Inverurie Loco Works.

In the Highland League, Theo Simpson will return to Buckie Thistle after a successful campaign at Victoria Park last season which saw the young goalkeeper win the Club’s Young Player of the Year award. He will be joined by winger JJ Hulse, who is also making the temporary switch to Moray.

Elsewhere in the Highland League, defenders Jay Henderson and James Jarvie will head for Turriff United and Deveronvale respectively. Sam McLean will be keen to build on last season’s loan spells at Lossiemouth and Deveronvale, as he heads for Christie Park to gain some competitive action with Huntly.

Max Pocklington and Heath Duncan will join Keith, as they look to get their first taste of senior football.

In the North of Scotland Football League, goalkeeper Conlan Waldron will join Banchory St Ternan.

Interim Talent Development Manager, Stuart Duff is excited by the opportunities afforded to our young players as they continue to make their way in the game.

“The relationships built up over the last year or so with all of the Loan clubs has allowed our young players all to be given an experience and opportunity in men’s senior football which helps in providing young players with the challenges, responsibility and resilience they need to accelerate their development both on and off the pitch.

“Our approach to strategic loan and co-operation agreements are an essential part of a young player’s journey. We as a club feel competing in senior men’s football accelerates their technical, tactical, physical and personal development, preparing them for the demands of first-team football.

“I have full belief all of the players will benefit from the opportunity and am hoping for another successful season for all of them.”

We will provide a further update once more Development loans are confirmed.
