SCOTLAND U17s
Vauxhall Under-17 International Challenge Match Scotland 2-1 Iceland Tuesday 23rd February 2016, 7pm Cappielow Park, Greenock
(Burt 51’, L. Morrison 80’; Ljubicic 77’)
A late winner from Lewis Morrison secured a 2-1 victory for Scotland Under-17s over Iceland in an enjoyable encounter at Cappielow. A draw looked likely when Stefan Ljubicic equalised for the visitors with three minutes to go after a second-half goal from midfielder Liam Burt had given Scotland the lead. However, the Kilmarnock player came off the bench to grab a win for the hosts.
Aberdeen’s Connor McLennan, who joined the Dons full time in December, was in Scott Gemmill’s starting XI.
