Following the launch of our BE INSPIRED 2015/2016 season ticket campaign last night we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has already pledged their support for next season.
We also look forward to welcoming back those of you who have stated your intention to purchase a season ticket for 2015/16. We feel that this is a positive time for the Club and are glad that so many Dons fans are excited by what the future might hold!
While we are pleased by the initial response we would also like to address some areas of concern which have been raised by our supporters regarding season tickets for 2015/16.
Why have concession prices moved from Over 60 to Over 65?
This move has been taken by the Club to fall in line with all other SPFL clubs, with the exception of Motherwell, who currently operate an Over 65 ticketing policy.
Those supporters who are current 2014/2015 Over 60 concession season ticket holders will not be affected by this change.
Why has the 10 game package been removed?
Our 10 game package was only applicable to offshore and emergency services workers and on average was only being utilised for 6-7 games a season. We therefore took the decision to change this to a 6 game package, available to all, to offer our supporters increased flexibility.
On top of this our Reds on the Road membership scheme will continue and will be available from 1st June.
A season ticket for an U12 has increased in recent years, why is this?
In recent years there has been an incremental increase in the price of an U12 season ticket however at £57 a 2015/2016 season ticket still represents incredible value for money. An U12 can watch every match here at Pittodrie next season for just £3 a game.
Why introduce a new U18 season ticket price?
An U18 will now be able to watch the Dons in action for just £6 a game next season.
Having looked closely at our prices and packages on offer for this particular age group we felt a season ticket was priced too highly for these supporters, many of whom only have a part time job to fund their desire to follow the Dons. These people are also our next generation of fans, those who we want to be season ticket holders here for many years to come.
Also, when an U18 is moving to an adult season ticket they will receive 40% discount on their season ticket to ease the jump in price.
Why is the Richard Donald Stand Upper remaining closed?
Our new season ticket exchange policy will open up superior seats across the stadium which will then eliminate the need for the RDU Stand to be opened for the vast majority of matches.
What does the Golden Dandies package entail?
As a Club steeped in tradition we recognised we had a number of season ticket holders who are loyal, lifelong supporters and as such we felt it was important we acknowledged those fans.
Throughout the season our Golden Dandies will receive regular communication and support from our Customer Services team as we aim to improve their match-day experience.
Why were the Black and Gold benefits changed?
A few weeks ago we carried out a survey amongst our Black and Gold season ticket holders and the feedback was that the ‘Bring a Buddy’ ticket offer was a low priority when considering whether to upgrade to Black and Gold. Furthermore, usage was less than 30%.
As such we decided to re-focus the benefits to concentrate on the free home or away shirt, discount on our brand new RedTV product, complimentary food vouchers and the exclusive evening with the management team. On top of that we will have some money can’t buy prizes on offer in our monthly draw including, Directors Box and Boardroom experiences, invitation to enjoy corporate hospitality and signed merchandise.
