Alfie Bavidge has joined Scottish Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle on loan for the 2026/2027 campaign.

The promising young striker, who recently signed an extended deal with the Dons, heads to the Highland capital looking to secure valuable, competitive game time, building upon the successful loan spells he has had in recent seasons with ICT.

“We’ve had a chance to look at Alfie in the first week of pre-season and following assessment from the coaching staff will head out on loan as part of a wider development plan to ensure his continued progression towards the first team”, said Dons boss Stephen Robinson.

“It was important as a Club that we secured Alfie on a renewed deal as we believe in his potential, but this season presents him with an opportunity to go and show what he can do at Championship level.

“Exposure to regular, competitive first team football is vital at this point in his career.

“Alfie can take inspiration from Findlay Marshall who had an outstanding year Arbroath last season, and he’s returned for pre-season with his confidence high.

“We’ll be monitoring his progress closely and look forward to watching him hopefully continue to perform for Inverness.”

Alfie joined the Club at the age of eight, came through the Scottish FA Performance School and impressed at U18 level in his first year as a full-time professional, scoring 38 goals.

The now 20-year-old made his competitive debut in Red as a substitute in a 3-1 win over Motherwell in February 2023 and has since made five first-team appearances.

Everyone at Aberdeen FC wishes Alfie the very best during his time with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
