Ash Taylor visits AFCCT Football Centre in partnership with David Lloyds Gym

Aberdeen FC player Ash Taylor made an appearance at our AFC Community Trust Football Centres at David Lloyds Gym in Aberdeen.

The football centre is run in partnership with David Lloyd’s gym, and is run for gym member’s children. AFC Community Trust has been in partnership with David Lloyds Gym since summer 2014, with the partnership hopefully running for years to come.

Ash Taylor made the visit to the centre to see the young players in action, where they had a chance to show off their skills, and have a game of football with Ash Taylor. All players were extremely excited and eager to show Ash the things they had learnt from their AFCCT community coach.

Family Activities Co-ordinator at David Lloyds Gym Fraser Neave said: “We are delighted to have a link set up with Aberdeen FC Community Trust. The coaching is of top quality and helps develop football for the youngsters in Aberdeen. To be in partnership with Aberdeen FC Community Trust is fantastic for us to be part of for the development of football in Aberdeen. We also had first team player Ash Taylor come along to one of the sessions. The children and parents were delighted with his appearance.”

SFA Club Development Officer for AFC Community Trust Liam Duncan said: “It was great for the children to meet Ash Taylor at David Lloyds gym. Anytime a young football fan gets to meet a player is exciting, so these children would have been ecstatic at the chance to actually play football with Ash. All the players love the session led by our AFC Community Trust coach, and getting treats like this are something they will remember for a long time.

“Our partnership with David Lloyds Gym has been running for around six months and has been great, and we are keen to keep it going for as long as possible. The facilities are excellent, and allow Gym members to take advantage of our great football centre programme.”
