Aberdeen FC Community Trust, in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council and Sport Aberdeen, recently delivered a very successful Primary Schools Football Festival for children with additional support needs on Thursday 28th April 2016 at the Garioch Sports Centre, Inverurie.
The festival which consisted of fun coaching stations and small sided games was a great way to round off the ASN School visit programme AFCCT have been delivering this term. A total of 7 schools and 68 pupils have benefitted from this be-spoke programme which included Football coaching sessions at each respective school in the build up to the festival. Caitlin Dudley, Disability Sports Officer for Aberdeenshire Council said; “It was great to see all the pupils enjoying taking part in the event and they were particularly delighted to meet the mascots of AFCCT, Garioch Sports Trust and Inverurie Loco’s!”
Scottish FA and AFCCT Coach Scott Duncan added: “The ASN Festivals have been very successful this year, it has been great to include coaching sessions at the schools and this is largely thanks to the support of the Scottish FA and CNR International.”
