ADAM ROONEY
Adam Rooney will make his 100th Aberdeen appearance on Friday night if he plays against Partick Thistle. The Dons striker has scored 56 goals in 99 appearances.
“All the lads are fairly confident going into the game. We have been on a good run and it is only one defeat in 13 games so we are not too down about the other night and we are still feeling fairly good about things. The most important thing is we get back to winning ways as soon as possible.
“We know against Inverness we did not perform as well as we can and as well as we have done in previous weeks. We did not reach that standard for one reason or another. However there is no point on dwelling on it.
“Things went against us but we also have to look to at our own performance. We want to rectify that tomorrow night.
“We just have to regroup and try and put another winning run together.
“It is going to be a very difficult game. It always is against Partick Thistle, especially down there. The last game, the 0-0 draw at Pittodrie was very hard fought and they defended well.
“Jonny will obviously be a big loss. He is a big player for us. But at the same time it will give someone else a chance to show what they can do. We have a good squad and have players who are ready to step up.
“As a group we just focus on the next game and we don’t look too far ahead. We look forward to the game and hopefully getting back to winning ways.”
