Aberdeen Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Rachel Corsie to its Board of Directors, strengthening the Club's leadership with one of the most respected figures in Scottish football.
A former Scotland captain with more than 150 international appearances, Rachel enjoyed an outstanding playing career spanning Scotland, England, the United States and Australia.
An Aberdonian with deep family ties to the Club and a lifelong supporter of the Dons, she brings a blend of elite sporting experience, strategic thinking and commercial expertise to the Board.
Alongside her distinguished football career, Rachel is a qualified Chartered Accountant, having begun her professional career with Ernst & Young before becoming a full-time player.
Her experience both inside and outside the game will provide valuable insight as Aberdeen FC continues to develop every area of the business.
In addition to her role on the Board, Rachel will play an important part in supporting the continued development of the Club's women's and girls' programme.
Working alongside staff across the Club, she will help shape the long-term strategic direction of AFC Women while providing practical guidance and mentorship during an important period of transition.
The Club recently appointed Nathan Flight as its new Head of Women's and Girls' Football as part of its commitment to building a sustainable pathway from academy to first team.

“As we continue to evolve as a club, we're committed to ensuring the women's game plays an important role in our future. Rachel's appointment underlines that commitment. She will help shape our strategic thinking while also working closely with our staff to support the continued growth of our women's and girls' programme in the short, medium and long term. She will be a terrific role model for our young girls coming through the Academy given she herself was on a similar journey twenty years ago.
