Information on Red Matchday 2022/23

The Red Matchday team have been busy over the short summer break putting together the new look programme for the 2022/23 season. And we hope to have put together a publication that will keep all our fans happy, young and old. We have delved deeper yet into the Pittodrie archives to dig out a host of new historical photos and have been working with all our contributors to come up with some exciting new features. And once again we are pleased to announce that Dolly Digital will be our artist-in-residence.

Voted the best programme in the top division in Scotland for close to two decades, we continue to put a lot of work into the publication to give our loyal readers value for money. The programme will be priced at £3.50 per issue.

Red Matchday Magazine is produced by Curtis Sport and designed by Ryan Chalmers.

Red Matchday Issue 1

Please note, Issue 1 will be available at the Aberdeen v Dumbarton game.

In the first edition we have caught up with some of the new faces who will be appearing in a red shirt this season. And in our history section we look back at the previous League cup meetings against Dumbarton and our history in the group stages. Plus, there is a full guide to Wednesday’s night opponents as we welcome back two former Dons.

Sticker Album

Coming this season… for our younger fans, and a few older ones as well!

The Red Matchday official collectors’ album includes stickers from the first team squad, the development squad and the AFC women’s squad. There will also be a history section with some of our greatest moments and iconic photos and a section on the Gothenburg side.

The stickers will only be available with each purchase of this season’s Red Matchday, game by game. More information about where you can collect your album from and when the stickers will start to be available will follow over the next couple of weeks.

Red Matchday Issue 2

The sad news about the death of Davie Robb over the weekend came just as we were signing off Issue 1. We will therefore have a full, and proper tribute to Davie in Issue 2 – the Aberdeen v Raith Rovers programme. Already many of his ex-team-mates have been in touch with their own personal memories of the great man.
