It was another exceptionally busy and record-breaking launch day for the retail team within the AFC Club Shop as supporters snapped up the new home kit.

In what was the most successful launch of any home kit ever, AFC recorded a 37% sales increase on opening day sales from last season’s extremely popular home kit.

In addition, revenue for the day eclipsed last year’s opening day by an incredible 47%, in what is yet another amazing show of support from the Red Army.

With the North Sea away kit breaking all-time records and having sold out, and on re-order, fans who plan on picking up the new 25/26 Adidas home kit are encouraged to get it as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

The two-tone red kit features a red inspired by two periods in our history. The dark maroon red pays homage to the colour worn by the original Aberdeen team founded in 1881. That Aberdeen side would then go on to merge with Orion and Victoria United to form Aberdeen FC in 1903, and the rest is history.

This maroon red colour was also prominent on our most famous night in 1983 within the bench jacket worn by Sir Alex Ferguson as we defeated Real Madrid in Gothenburg, and most recently celebrated late last year throughout the launch of our adidas SPZL range.

Our brand-new kit showcases a red base, complemented by a sleek polo collar and subtle pinstripes across the torso. Red maroon accents add depth, with distinctive stripes running along the shoulders and side panels for a modern, dynamic finish.

The mini kit features a sleek crew neckline that offers a modern, streamlined look with a more casual and comfortable design for kids. This subtle shift enhances the contemporary aesthetic while maintaining a clean silhouette that complements the overall fit.

Retail manager William Rafferty said: “It was a phenomenally busy day in the shop yesterday and thanks to everyone for the support and patience whilst we dealt with a flood of orders. It was so busy, it even briefly crashed our online store.

“Over the last few years, fans have been snapping up our kits in unbelievable numbers and we’ve struggled at times to keep up with the demand. We expect another really busy week and look forward to welcoming Dons fans back to the shop to get stocked ahead of the new campaign.

“The retail team have worked very hard in quite trying and difficult circumstances in the last week, and I want to pay tribute to them for their hard work.”

To help launch the kit, and as part of our ‘Team Up with TEXO’ campaign, we were honoured to welcome four young stars from The Archie Foundation, who joined our first team players to be some of the first people to wear the new kits.
