The Club this afternoon confirms Bruce Anderson has joined Scottish Championship side Ayr United on a season long loan, with the caveat of an optional re-call in January.

The 22-year-old forward, who has had previous loan spells at Elgin City and Dunfermline Athletic, has made 37 appearances for the first team since scoring on his competitive debut against Rangers in August 2018.

Bruce heads to Somerset Park as part of wider strategy to continue his development with manager Derek McInnes keen for him to get some game time.

“Bruce is very much part of our long-term plans at the Club and this move to Ayr United offers the perfect opportunity for him to gain some valuable minutes in what I am sure will be a competitive league.

“In light of some of our strikers due to return to training in the coming weeks, it was important Bruce was not left without the chance to go and play and score goals.

“His objective is to do well during his loan spell and come back to us ready to feature for the first team.”

Everyone at AFC wishes Bruce well during this time with Ayr United.
