Ahead of the SPFL Premiership game on Sunday, Ryan Hedges was the player made available to the press this week.
“It is a game we are looking forward. We have to go into the game on Sunday believing we can get a positive result. We know they are a good team and that is why they are top of the league but on our day we can compete with anyone and hopefully we can be at the top of our game on Sunday.
“It would be a good achievement to beat their unbeaten run in the league. We are in a better position that we were the two previous occasions we played them. The last game, with the boys missing because of the covid situation, was far from ideal. We also have a few more boys back from injury so hopefully we can go out and give a better account of ourselves.
“We have to go into any game with the confidence that you can win. All the players starting, and everyone on the bench needs to have the confidence if we are going to get a result.
“We go into the game with some decent form and results behind us. It is only one loss in 14. But we know it could be better. There have been a few draws that should have been turned into wins. Those points all add up and we could have been in a healthier position that we are now.
“The Motherwell and Dundee United games were the ones you look at. If we had won them we would be equal in second place. So hopefully it will start to click more in the final third of the pitch. It is just the final pass that is letting us down. I am confident that it will come. We are working very hard. It is just these little things that could make a massive different to our season.
“We will take it one game at a time and see where it takes us.”
