“It is going to be a challenge; it always is against Rangers. They are a good side and are in good form, it is a tough challenge, but it is something that we are looking forward to.
“We have been in good form ourselves and we have a good squad. Whoever is selected to play I am sure will put in a good performance.
“We are Aberdeen, we are a big club ourselves. We are capable of going down and are capable of winning as we have done previously. We have got to go down with the confidence we have shown in recent games and go down with the mindset that we can get the three points.
“As a team we know their threats and we know what we have to do nullify them. We will work on it this week; we will first and foremost look to get a clean sheet and look to win the game.
“The first game of the season against them was disappointing. I thought defensively we were good but just that final bit in the final third was disappointing. We have picked that up and have looked more of a threat and we will look to take that into Sunday. We are in good form and we are not far away.
“We have got boys who can come in and put in those performances. There are chances there for the boys to take in and put in a performance that keeps them in the team.
“We have got to put in a performance that we are capable of as we have been in recent games. We know it is going to be a tough game, we have got to go in and put in a performance. We have the squad that can go there and win.
“We have been solid as a full unit. Keeping a clean sheet is a base to begin with and we know that we have the players in the team that can create and score goals. It is always a good start if you are keeping a clean sheet away from home.
“We have had a good start, but it is only a start. Winning on Sunday would grow confidence and momentum for the rest of the season.
“Our aim in the league is to get as close as we can to Celtic and Rangers. That has been the aim ever since I have been at this football club. We want to push them as much as we can. We know how good a squad that we have and on our day, if we perform well, we can give anyone a game.”
